Energji ashta wins “CSR best practice for SMEs” during the multi stakeholder forum on corporate social responsibility organized from the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with UNDP

Energji Ashta, the project company which has constructed and is now operating the hydropower plant Ashta has been praised with ‘CSR Best practice for SMEs” during the activity held on June 11 in Tirana.

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with UNDP and the Albanian CSR Network praised this year three companies in three categories: CSR Innovation Award, CSR Best practice for SMEs, CSR Best Practices for Large Companies. Energji Ashta has been selected as one of the three winners of this competition, chosen from more than 20 participating companies.

During the award giving ceremony, Ingun Metelko, Head of Media Relations at Verbund, said: “We are very happy to have participated in this competition and receiving this award makes us proud for what we have done in the past. We are encouraged to continue implementing other projects for sustainable results in the future”.

Supporting the community where it is investing is a sensitive topic for Energji Ashta. The aim of the company is to improve the common level of services and wellbeing through the activities is has supported. EnergjiAshta has been particularly engaged in education and health related projects as two of the most necessitous links of the services chain in the communes where the company successfully operates today.
