TÜV Austria Hella conducted on 30 th of September 2016 an audit of the Environmental Management System (EMS) of Energji Ashta Shpk and confirmed the achievement in implementing an effective Environmental Management System according to the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 International Standard.
The certification was performed in accordance with TÜV AUSTRIA auditing and certification procedures, is subject to regular surveillance audits and valid until 15th of September 2018.
Energji Ashta Shpk is committed to implement environment friendly solutions and applies international standards for the operation of the HPP Ashta. The hydro powerplant is really favorable to the environment – energy is produced without any air pollution saving around 114,000 tons of CO2 per year.
