The Austrian Export Credit Agency (OeKB) inspects Ashta hydropower plant

The Austrian Ministry of Finance and the Austrian Export Credit Agency (OeKB) regularly carry out ex-post evaluations of projects supported under the Austrian Export Guarantees Act. This year this evaluation took place between September 10 and 12 in Albania and Kosovo. On Wednesday September 12th, the delegation headed by a Ministerial Member of the Austrian Ministry of Finance and delegation members from the Austrian Export Credit Agency , the Austrian National Bank and members of the Austrian Economic Chamber in Albania were welcomed by HPP Ashta’s Managing Director, Dietmar Reiner.

The aim of this visit was the parliamentary mandate to investigate the social, economic and environmental impacts of the projects in the targeted country. After an introduction to the challenges at the beginning of the project 10 years ago, the delegation was convinced of the high quality and standards “Made in Austria” during a tour around Ashta hydropower plant. The detailed questions were answered satisfactorily and the delegation, after a small refreshment, was able to continue their journey to stick to their tight schedule.
