Energji Ashta donates for earthquake recovery efforts in Albania
The Austrian public utilities VERBUND and EVN, decided to donate via it’s Albanian Joint Venture Company Energji Ashta EUR20.000 (twenty thousand) to the International Federation of the Red Cross for disaster response and recovery efforts in Albania. Albania was hit by a devastating earthquake on November 26, 2019.
The disaster has caused the tragic loss of 51 human lives and has left hundreds of people injured. According to a preliminary report there are 261 uninhabitable buildings, 2237 uninhabitable houses and other 851 buildings with medium to slight damages.
We believe in joining forces, overcoming difficulties and building a safer future together.
Energji Ashta would like to express its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and profound sympathy to those affected by the disaster.
