Today the Foreign minister of Austria, HE Dr. Michael Linhart, visited HPP Ashta built and operated by Energji Ashta, a project – company of Verbund and EVN. HPP Ashta is the first successful hydropower plant in Albania. He was welcomed by the Managing Director of Energji Ashta, Mr. Peter Loidl. Together they discussed the state-of-the-art project and had a tour of the facility.
Mr. Loidl said that he was honored to welcome HE Dr. Linhart in Ashta. As managing director of this project, he was very proud the HPP contributes to providing clean and renewable energy to more than 100.000 Albanian households helping thus in reducing energy imports. Energji Ashta remains a reliable partner for the people of Albania. The minister was impressed with the outstanding achievement of the two Austrian companies in Albania which have exported excellent Austrian know how and technology abroad. The visit was concluded with the best impressions and a group photo to mark the occasion.
